Great Opportunities
Wow... what a great Fall we are having! The Career Center Campus is enjoying an excellent start to the year. We are over 400 students with 8 programs busting at the seams and we have our bussing sorted out so many of our Palisade students can now access additional education opportunities!
Speaking of educational opportunities, parents are you seeking additional support for your child? Did you know that we now have Valley Prep on the Career Center Campus? Valley Prep is an alternative high school placement focusing on academics- English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. They have small class sizes, one-on-one student-centered instruction, and a new Discovery program to build and support your child's Social Emotional growth. A pretty good deal when you think about it! Your student can continue to attend the CTE pathway programming (Career Center) and get their academics through Valley Prep right here on "The D51 Career Center Campus". Give us a call and let us help you.. help your student!

Student Show Case
Heads up... the Career Center Campus is hosting the first ever Student Show Case on 10-12-22. This is an opportunity to visit the campus and see what your student is doing "through the eyes of the child." The Career Center family is proud of our students, staff, and programming. Please join us in celebrating the GOOD THINGS we are doing! And please, please, if ever you have a concern or question or just want to share a celebration with your child's teacher, you can ALWAYS contact any Career Center Campus teacher Monday through Friday by calling 970-254-6000 and asking the front desk team to connect you with your students teacher!
As always, The D51 Career Center is a special place, we pride ourselves on being a Prepared-Polite-Productive-Professional; foundational traits for a good person, good student, and great employee! Know you can always call 254-6000 and we will do our best to help.

What's New at InSTEPS?
InSTEPS Participants are falling "instep" with the program quickly. We are rounding out the first quarter and are so excited for the upcoming months. Soon, some will begin working paid jobs positions, while others are learning a skill through volunteering in the nearby community. We all practice daily living skills, gain confidence in riding public transportation, cook/bake, as well, budgeting our finances. "Fun Fridays" are in full swing and spent experimenting with activities within the community. In September of 2022, we enjoyed a bike/trike ride with Colorado Discover Ability. Recently, we watched candy makers preparing toffee bark, visited eBricks, and had a picnic. We are really having a lot of fun here in InSTEPS and learning along the way!
